Simulated Urban Exercise Area

Let’s face it, not all threats occur in unpopulated area. Sometimes the threats occur in urban areas. That’s why here at The Ranch we have our very own simulated urban exercise area, or MOUT area. It contains approximately 20 buildings in various configurations that include one three story building and three two story buildings.

This exercise area offers:

  • Multiple rooms
  • Hallways
  • “T” intersection hallways
  • Stairwells
  • Breaching doors for use of pry bars of Hallagan tools.
  • Rams and shotgun breaching rounds
  • Breaching window
  • Hard surface, gravel crossover streets transition throughout

OPFOR is available for scheduling to enhance training. This includes:

  • Regionally specific clothing
  • Appropriate language
  • Weapons and role playing props (EX: goat hearts)

Training aids which can be utilized in the simulated urban exercise area are:

  • Simunitions
  • Paintball guns
  • Flash bang grenades
  • Smoke grenades
  • IED Simulators

Combative Area

We also offer a covered combative area where students can learn hand to hand combative techniques and methods while remaining out of the inclement weather.

Field Camp Area
Our Field Camp Area consists of a wooded area containing two large general purpose tents for sleeping up to 30 personnel. The tents have a divided section (male / female), heaters, lighting and cots. A third general purpose medium tent is set up as a classroom / dinning hall and can be converted to sleeping quarters if necessary. This area can be serviced with catered meals as required.

Safety

We endeavor to remain in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements at all times and conforms to the intent of ISO 14001. The company is governed by Title 29 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 1910 and specific parts of Title 40 CFR relative to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). A written safety program, emergency response plan, hazards communicant and spill plans can be provided upon request at any time. Activity analysis is on hand an will be available upon request for driver skills training (high risk) and firearms programs (moderate risk).

Kennels

The climate-controlled kennel building provides housing for up to 20 dogs. Each stall has automatic feeders and water as well as access to a fenced in outside area.
