Vehicle surveillance is designed to follow a suspect vehicle without being detected, while trailing through major cities or rural areas. This course is designed to teach the art of following another person while essentially hiding in plain sight. Instructors also have extensive experience in electronic surveillance of suspect vehicles which will be discussed during this course. Sometimes a suspect leaves his vehicle behind but must still be followed by someone who can blend with any environment they are confronted with. Surveillance is the first step to completing a successful Vehicle Containment Technique ( VCT).
Vehicle Containment Technique (VCT) is designed to take down violent criminals, and to prevent vehicle pursuits. Students will learn how to use the element of surprise and properly timed violence of action to take down violent felony suspects. The Vehicle Containment Technique is designed to physically restrict the movement of the suspect vehicle by simultaneously striking it from multiple sides, thereby preventing a vehicle pursuit. As a result, this tactic will also reduce the risk to the public.
The instructors teaching this course have conducted approximately 60 VCTs on violent suspects in the Houston area, as well as conducted surveillance on over 1,000 suspects in different areas of Houston. They are experts who have trained for hundreds of hours on these tactics to perfect their outcomes.

Stay mission-ready with the Tactical Counter Ambush Course, a two-day program designed to help officers survive vehicle ambushes and other high-threat encounters. Learn proven tactics to recognize, avoid, and fight through ambushes — from inside the patrol car to the street.
Ambushes are one of the most dangerous threats facing officers today. This course gives you the tools to anticipate, survive, and dominate in these unpredictable, high-risk situations.
First and foremost the course is structured to focus on HOW to set up and conduct unopposed CQB training in either live fire or Sims/UTM on paper in either shoot houses or actual structures. The course uses the vessel of CQB 101 level instruction to show students how to prepare a run and “cock the house”. The entire POI is geared around why the training area is set up a certain way and how it safely supports the training objectives.
This is essentially a course within a course. Some students will sign up seeking only seeking101 level skills in day and night CQB as a member of an assault team, which is completely acceptable. Three days and nights of CQB runs provide ample opportunity for those wanting to primarily do CQB.
